Back

When Zoë sees me putting on my coat or shoes in the morning, she sometimes says "Mommy, no back"--which, to the untrained ear, might sound like she doesn't actually want me to come back home from work. What she really means is that she doesn't want me to have to come back in the first place.

Coming back, or coming home, from a trip is almost as good as going sometimes. This weekend was fantastic--a whirlwind of friends, family, sites, screenings, news--but it's nice to be home, unpacked, house cleaned, laundry whirring, thoughts settling.

I love the little family who fills this home. Josh will return to us tomorrow night, and all will be right.

Some of my favorite words are, "TT, no home!"

Are you sure she's not saying Mommy's got back?!
