Happy day

My motto tends to be something like plan for the worst and be happily surprised if it doesn't happen, which makes the day we do our taxes a happy day indeed.

I always have deducted/save way too much of our income during the year (I know, not the smartest from an interest point of view), so every year when we do our taxes it's like being bestowed with a huge blessing.

And the timing is always perfect. Whether right before an upcoming maternity leave, a trip to Europe, or impending expenses that don't fit the budget, I always feel so much better about life after walking out of our accountant's office.
