We've decided last minute that we want to go camping this weekend to unwind a bit. But it seems like most places close by are full. Anyone know of a less frequented spot within an hour of UT valley?
WE just had a ward activity up AF canyon at a place called Mutual Dell and there were people camping there...you could give it a try. I wouldn't say its the best place to camp...the sites seemed close together, but its close...worth a shot.
We just went to Cherry up Hobble Creek Canyon in Springville. It was really nice. We also camped at Balsam last year up the same canyon (just about 7 miles further up) and that was a really nice and quiet campsite. You can check this site out for online reservations www.reserveamerica.com

We went down to diamond fork campground in sf. There is even a place to play in the water.
There's always that little campsite just past Aspen Grove. It might be full, but then again...
Also, Nunn's Park has campsites.
More: AF Canyon and Nebo Loop (maybe Payson Lakes?).
