So, I'm reading a New York Times article from 1973 about Henry Kissinger. Despite repeated references to Nixon and wiretapping, it seems like something that could be written today--a studied analysis of a secretary of state . . . until I get to the last line:
"All he needs now is a wife to keep him in line."
Women may still only make 70-something cents to the male dollar, but at least the New York Times no longer sees fit to end articles like that.
